Review of Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure (2011) by Ricardo R — 01 May 2011
I'm SO proud of Ashley Tisdale. This is probably my favorite movie of hers AND of her performance. She really has improved. Amazing comedian, and the tears were so real and heart felt. It's funny because compared to her role on Hellcats, her Hellcats dramatic acting is not so great and very Lifetime-movie-like.
Seeing her bring real tears to the screen was just so impressive and amazing! Not to mention that the girl is absolutely stunning! I don't think there will EVER be a character like Sharpay Evans. The character is a legend.
I don't care how many movies come out with mean girls, she truly isn't... she's just really driven and that's what I think I love most about her. Let's not forget the actress Cameron Goodman.
.. disgusting performance. It looked as if she was trying to play Sharpay's character and failing miserably. They should have picked someone a little more talented. She was just annoying to watch and I know sometimes that means "they did their job" .
.. but this is different. She was just flat out annoying. Also, I'd like to point out the amazing transition that went into the character. You can definitely tell she has grown up by looking at the first musical number (which was VERY High School Musical) to the last musical.
The film had some HORRIBLE... and I mean HORRIBLE editing and shots but who is to take a Disney straight to DVD film so seriously? I think FOR a Disney movie and FOR a High School Musical spin-off... it wasn't as childish as a lot of people would expect.
Not to sound cocky, but, I'd like to tell those people 'I told you so!' The plot once again, very typical and predictable... but all is well! I overall did enjoy it! I'd like to see her put this kind of work into her characters more often!
