Review of Sharkwater (2006) by Stef V — 15 Apr 2008
This movie dispels alot of myths about sharks. But it is also very upsetting that we just don't get it that when you over fish sharks, cod or what ever else. They finally do disappear, which ultimately distroys the enviroment.
This movie shows the absolute greed of many people. The slaughter of sharks just for their fins. It's just too much. But we do nothing about any of this. It just makes you upset to see that those who try to save the sharks or any species, are thrown in jail, even though people are illegally fishing, are caught but nothing is done.
Photography is breathtaking, the sharks look like gentle creatures. I have to say in conclusion that this film should be shown all over the world, especially where they do line fishing and kill not just sharks but many other creatures of the sea as well.
