Review of Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (2015) by Ben T — 02 Nov 2015
Oh hell no indeed! Sharknado is one of those things where I hoped I would like it more over time. I thought that maybe I would have a Scrooge moment and have a change of heart for the movies. Unfortunately my hatred for the franchise is at an all-time high.
I didn't really watch the second one because I heard it was basically the same thing in New York. And honestly the only reason I saw this one was because my friend was an extra in it. I will say that as a southern boy, it was kind of funny seeing many East Coast landmarks (including my home town in one scene) get attacked.
And I love seeing theme parks in film, especially ones that I grew up going to and still visit. But man, where do I begin? This may be the most wasted 2 hours I've ever spent in front of my TV. The whole "so bad it's good" thing honestly works against if at this point because when you know your seeing a bad movie, you feel like your wasting that much more time.
Don't get me started on the third act, which honestly was entertaining-ish until the very late few minutes. As usual the effects, script, and acting are garbage. The movie really made me question how good the Syfy channel really is.
Save yourself the time and don't watch this monstrosity!
