Review of Sharknado (2013) by The Critic ( — 30 Nov 2013
What would easily have to be one of the stupidest films ever made sees assorted sharks swept up by a tornado and distributed across the Californian coast, causing flesh-chomping havoc regardless of the water level on land.
Predicable plotting and atrocious dialogue are redeemed by genuinely charming and compatible leads Ian Ziering and Jaason Simmons (famous in the 1990s for respective roles in TV's 'Beverly Hills 90210' and 'Baywatch') who don't take the material too seriously; Tara Reid receives top billing but is inconsequential to the proceedings.
There's some fun to be had here, and at least the film's not boring, but that doesn't necessarily justify production.
