Review of Shark Tale (2004) by Manny C — 23 Mar 2011
With apologies to Italians everywhere, the shark as mobsters things is very amusing. Especially Martin Scorsese as a puffer fish who pays a call to a shark godfather (Robert De Niro) who has two sons--one macho (Michael Imperioli) and one gentle (Jack Black).
Unfortunately the jokes get stale real fast. Will Smith co-stars as a manic fish with two lady fish in his life, once sweet and nice (Renee Zellweger) and one not so nice (Angelina Jolie). It's Finding Nemo mixed with Shrek, but sinks like a stone.
