Review of Shark Tale (2004) by David B — 06 May 2012
This film is proof that you don't need an All-Star, A-list cast to make a good movie, in fact this was a huge massive disspointing film. I'm trying to review this film knowing that Finding Nemo is 100 times better but even if Finding Nemo didn't exsist, this film would still be bad.
The animation is ok but I've seen better, the plot isn't as good as it sounds and the fish are quite creepy looking in some. I'd admit some actors were good in their voice-over parts, Jack Black being one of them (Who uses his voice alot better in Kung-Fu Panda) but even here he doesn't steal the film.
The animators tried to make the ocean world like ours, using visual comedy that we'd reconised and relate too. But I found this boring, dull and can't believe how bad it is, also it's unfunny.
Swimming in the lucrative wake of Finding Nemo, DreamWorks's foray into computer-generated underwater animation is a rambunctious, reasonably amusing pop confection. Essentially, the anchor doesn't go deep enough and Shark Tale is left to flounder.
Worst animated film I've ever seen. Shame on you Dreamworks, shame on you...
