Yes, it's trash. PG-13 trash. The kills are pretty unsatisfying and the acting is wooden, but Shark Night has eye candy to spare and some well executed 3D to make it the poster child for the 'turn your mind off for 90 minutes' film.
It's inferior to Piranha 3D, but it's worth a look if you like this type of stuff.
