I can see why people did not like this movie. In the wake of the gore and boob-fest of Piranha 3D, walking into a watered down PG-13 horror movie could be seen as a let down. There were plenty of times where I wished for that R rating.
(Side-boob isn't enough, ladies.) However, I still found this shark-fest to be highly entertaining. I call it a shark-fest because it featured a nice variety of sharks, including a hammerhead, which is a rare sight in a shark movie.
(Trust me, I've seen them all.) The CGI sharks did look fake at times, but they still managed to be menacing.
