Review of Shaolin Soccer (2001) by George K — 12 Aug 2011
Shaolin Soccer is a fun film that appeals to anyone who can simply put up with having to read subtitles. It is probably one of the most accessible foreign comedies with a brilliantly talented lead actor in Chow, an hillarious set of co-stars, and a well written plot and script.
Those of you not very familliar with Stephen Chow (actor, writer & director), this would be a good introduction to his work. You don't have to be into Kung Fu, and you don't even have to like soccer (it's better if you don't, it's even funnier) to enjoy and laugh along with this film.
One of my favies! :).
