Well, you gotta give credit for this film for being one of the best goofy action comedy there is. Some parts were not translated well but looking at the movie's overall impact to the audience, I have to say that it is outstanding! While watching this film, you'll find yourself in another universe which kind of distracting and ridiculous, but still.
... if it was done otherwise, it would have sucked. So, you need to embrace it for what it is. The film was refreshing and worth watching. Any person in the right mind will love this film for being just what it is, even the over the top scenes which are exaggerated.
The performance of the actors were hilarious. It takes a simple mind to get what the entire story is all about. Even though it was filled with breathtaking stunts and craziness, you'd still find it realistic.
There was truth behind the background of the characters of the story. The only thing you'll wish for after watching it is for sporting events to become as exciting as the soccer games conducted in Shaolin Soccer.
It was truly brilliant! Good cast, exceptional story plot, fantastic script and a powerful lesson learned at the end. This film is for all ages!
