Having already seeing this I would say its one of Benny Chans best films. Andy Lau plays Hou Jie a warlord who sets himself and his family on the path of destruction and when he sneers at the shaolin master he soons has to depend on the monks for his very survival.
a brilliant film which takes it time to explain itself. Action scenes are well thought out and filmed with the entire cast well educated in the martial arts. from the light relief of Jacky Chan to the brooding talent that is Wu Jing this film does not disappoint on any level.
