Review of Shaolin (2011) by Asis D — 30 Sep 2011
Action is like other wuxia flicks, ye of superior quality... but not more than other wuxia flicks (the highlights are nonetheless well conceived); story is almost ok, but a bit too lenient to drama, and I prefer a more aggressive approach in wuxia.
Deja vu lurks like a hidden tiger: nothing really wrong, but nothing original too, definetly not in the same league, pardon, Shaolin temple, of the experiments of Wen Jiang, Tsui Hark, John Woo and Peter Chan.
