Review of Shaolin (2011) by Dmitri K — 26 Nov 2011
The perfect movie for war criminals. The action is neatly choreographed, but the story is cartoonish, riddled with cliches and archetypical characters. Can a man find redemption? Yes. But can that same man be held accountable for his actions? Not if he explores a "pure" and "righteous" path to redemption, according to this movie's rhetoric.
Sadly, I am left unconvinced.
