Review of Shanghai Noon (2000) by David K — 02 Feb 2009
Cashing in on the success of "Rush Hour," "Shanghai Noon" is different in almost no way at all. Just substitute fast talking Chris Tucker with sly jokster Owen Wilson and it's essentially the same exact movie.
Nevertheless, the movie is entertaining, for the most part. The film does run a little long and the insertion of pop music doesn't help at all. The action scenes are very creative and fun to watch.
Other than that, the film is fairly bland. Still, it's not a terrible way to spend a couple hours.
