Review of Shanghai Noon (2000) by Darryl K — 03 Jan 2011
While not one of Jackie's best pictures, SN is still an enjoyable (faux) kung-fu flick. Most of the best moments are the comical moments done by Jackie, beckoning back to the days of Keaton and Chaplin.
While the kung-fu choreography isn't bad, it suffers from "Hollywood Action Syndrome" (shooting close and cutting fast), which doesn't always serve kung-fu well. But if you like Jackie Chan or something that is family friendly, you could do much worse.
