A young chinese american is not happy in his life and feels distant from his chinese heritage living in L.A a unsucessful actor. through a death in family he inherits a house in shangai, and eyeing a quick sale sets off there, but discovers a lot in the ways of his lost heritage, a nice little drama, although events and comments couldent be more sign posted throughout, with charactors saying what should be thought, but it runs along smoothly, the director maybe has watched a bit to much lost in translation, for parts, and shangai looks great,.
