Review of Shane (1953) by Jason C — 23 Sep 2009

I was really blown away by this film. I did not go into expecting much. Having only ever seen a couple clips and a few stills, I was under the impression that this was a light and fluffy western. Wrong.

This is a dark look at the death of the individual as it pertains to western expansion and a film that acknowledges, long before Unforgiven, the weight that killing someone put on your soul.
