Review of Shane (1953) by Sterling G — 06 Jan 2014

It is probably the best of what is now called Stevens' "American Trilogy" that includes "A Place in the Sun" and "Giant.
" Moreso it illustrates the maturation of one of the nation's great filmmakers who had been to war and could no longer deal in the light comedies of his youth.
