Review of Shane (1953) by Braden A — 26 May 2005
:fresh: This is an excellent film, Alan Ladd is very convinciing as Shane, a man with no roots, mysterious who fascinated a whole family and helped it to defeat the man who threatened their land..
.
Jack Palance is excellent as the gun fighter, he had an enourmous charater to threaten and to shoot a gun, pitty, his role was very short..
.
The score, the performances, the script, the scenes, the art direction and George Stevens' touch makes this film a masterpiece. A western that joins the list of the best westerns ever done..
