Review of Shane (1953) by Carlos R — 16 Sep 2010
One of the best westerns I've ever seen. It's beautiful and great in every way. All the images were amazing, awesome photography, the editing was superb, and well, technically is one of the most beautiful films I've seen.
The story is simple... an unknown man comes from no-one-knows-where and starts to work for a man... A man called Ryker with his men wants the lands of the people in town, and Shane accidentally becomes the defender.
It's extraordinary, all scenes were great. There's an innoccent part in the character of Joey, there's mystery, there's romance and finally, it's a big western, one of the best. The dialogues were perfect, specially in the final scene.
.. very deep, moving, sad and extraordinary.
