One of the most violent film I've seen in the last years. Not the sort of violence that you can find in war movies, or in rape scenes or all the kind of violences usually shown wherever they are shown. It was a mental violence, made of silences, amazing camera work, looks and breaths. My father always report a sentence of the World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov: "Chess is the most violent sport". The same can be said of this film: "Shame is the most violent film". It left me agashed and breathless, and for once the slowness in a film didn't bore me, but, at the opposite, made me fully appreciate it.

I may be overinfluenced at the moment, but I really think it could be one of my favourite movies ever.
