Review of Shame (2011) by Anthony K — 13 May 2014
Michael Fassbender stars as an even-sicker-f*ck than Patrick Bateman in this towering anti-romance. Ultimately, rather than being really characteristic of the human condition, it's a character study of a deeply, irrevocably disturbed individual whose dysfunction is never explained nor apologized for.
"We're not bad people, we just come from a bad place" pleads the sister character....but really, when amorality can play out darker than immorality, who's to say?
