I think Steve McQueen's "Shame" was one of the best films released last year. It is honest and blunt through the dipiction of a man overcoming a sexual addiction. Michael Fassbinder is really building up an impressive acting resume and playing different characters with sheer skill.

He's performance in this film is spot on and it was thrilling and haunting to really see him go to the extreme. is character is so belivable because i'm sure most of us felt like Fassbinder's character one way or another.

Carey Mulligan who was somehwhat quiet in "Drive" is even better in "Shame" I mean she really got into character and she reminded me of Diane Keaton in "Annie Hall" when Mulligan was performing at a lounge club.

The sex is graphic but I believe it told truthfully. Was kinda disappointed the picture got an NC-17 rating, nonetheless McQueen's film was a huge success. I hope he will shine brighter as a filmmaker.
