Review of Shame (2011) by Mackenzie R — 02 Jun 2014
Not as essential as "12 Years a Slave", but "Shame" is still a very emotional and real film from the talented Steve McQueen. It's not as entertaining as it is illuminating, and a movie this sexually graphic is likely to shock anyone.
Michael Fassbender's brave and literally/figuratively bare performance is a highlight while he is solidly supported by the always great Carey Mulligan.
