If you don't mind amoral characters doing completely despicable things (or especially if your warped soul allows you to find humor in such things) there is much to love about Danny Boyle's directorial debut.
Of particular note, Shallow Grave is a relic of independent film's glory years, but even then, low budget films rarely came with the production values of this one.
