Review of Shakespeare in Love (1998) by Sean C — 05 Feb 2012

A well made film with an interesting story that was well portrayed by the ensemble. With the acting and screenplay alone, it'd be about 3 1/2, but what makes this a high 4 for me is the impeccable art direction and costumes.

Followed by nice cinematography but I did not really like the editing even though it got a nod for an Oscar. But Paltrow really stood the part as did Rush. However, I would have liked to see a better performance from the male lead in that of Fiennes.
