Review of Shaft's Big Score! (1972) by James D — 04 Sep 2007
A decent blaxploitation film which has very good action sequences, though as a consequence the plot is a bit more one-dimensional compared to the original.
Nonetheless Richard Roundtree holds it all together on-screen by being the badass mutha we expect.
Essentially its a blaxploitation movie trying to be like James Bond on the streets of New York. Like I said before, the plot is thin though the shoot-up sequences, high speed chases and the final sequence with the helicopter are definately worth a look.
