Despite its sometimes questionable jokes, provocative cultural trolling and a shaky plot, Shaft isn’t either a full-on misfire nor blaxploitation rejuvenation. Instead, Shaft is a decent, if slightly tepid, action comedy anchored by a hilarious performance by Samuel L.
Jackson.
