Review of Shadows and Fog (1991) by Andreas T — 17 Sep 2007
I'm torn... the story is bits and pieces of things that never came to fruition (most of it comes from "Death," one of the plays in his book Without Feathers) and is pretty hit or miss. I like the stuff with Cusack and the brothel; as well as the "death/life" musings.
Most other things don't work. And short of Sven Nykvist, this is the best black and white cinematography you'll ever see.
