How this wonderfully understated film was bumped by Schindler's List for the Oscar is a mystery. Hopkins as CS Lewis enlivens the philosophical turmoil contained in many of Lewis' writings (especially his religious apologetics) in a way that makes you want to read every word Lewis committed to print.
Remember the tissues, though...
