The last scene certainly ranks among my top cinematic 'WTF?!' moments. the film is very weird, this weirdness stemming from the ridiculousness of its premise and the deadly seriousness of its -ahem- execution.
there's some truly terrible editing, in one scene in particular, but ultimately 'shadow of the vampire' is worth seeing for eddie izzard, and john malkovich being...well, john malkovich.
