Review of Shadow of the Vampire (2000) by Wayne O — 31 Jan 2009
What a treat for movie fans! A wickedly clever dark comedy that pairs a compulsive movie director with a "method actor" who's a little too convincing as The Vampire. Both Malkovich and Dafoe are superb, the latter being robbed of an Best Supporting Oscar for his recreation of Max Shreck.
