Review of Shadow of the Vampire (2000) by Tristan G — 16 Mar 2009
Damn, this film was sweet. It's about what possibly could have gone on behind the scenes of NOSFERATU. It involves the director digging up a real vampire and making a deal to involve him in the most realistic vampire movie.
Things get crazy when Willem Dafoe shows up as the vampire. Soon, the whole crew gets sick and it is up to John Malkovich to finish the picture. The film is really pretty and artsy, but still is able to muster up enough chills and suspense to stay interesting.
