Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by Hassan I — 03 Dec 2011
Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" is a ver well executed, superbly acted, and highly suspenseful drama. Hitchcock's style of direction is classy, constructive, and intense. The performances from both Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotten are effective and natural.
While the film moves at a slow pace and the plot is slightly predictable, "Shadow of a Doubt" is nonetheless a great film that represents Alfred Hitchcock at his typical stance as a director.
It may not come across as his best film, but it still strikes chords as an engaging and interesting one.
