Review of Shadow in the Cloud (2021) by Sascha_Za — 29 Jul 2021
Total rubbish. If you enjoy movies with wildly implausible action sequences, inconsistent story lines, zero character development, and frankly no notable features at all, then this is the movie for you.
Usually a movie has at least one redeeming feature, such as well choreographed action sequences. Where the hero somehow manages to dodge a slew of blades, claws, bullets or explosions in a way that demonstrates skill or luck.
Or perhaps there is useful character development that unpacks internal emotional struggles that the protagonist needs to grapple with. This movie has none of that. In fact it is remarkable in how unremarkable every element of this movie is.
Perhaps the movie would be enjoyable if combined with some sort of recreational drug. That may elevate it to the level of mildly tolerable. Failing that ... best to use the time for something else.
