Review of Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (2018) by Brandi F — 03 May 2018

I had not heard of this movie until a local rescue posted about it. I took my 4-year-old to see it because he really likes dogs. I didn't know what to expect but I was really impressed by the movie! I don't know a lot about WWI, but I found the history to be very interesting.

My son really loved the dog, although the scenes where the dog is chased scared him a little. I thought the movie was very entertaining and informative and handled the war very well. It is a great way to introduce history and also to educate on the value of rescue dogs! After the movie was over, I looked it up and was surprised to find it was the first movie of an independent movie studio.

The animation and story development were top notch and my son and I have been discussing it since! I can't wait for the DVD and I hope they put out sequels. I watch a lot of kids movies and this has to be one of my favorites!
