Review of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978) by Cinema F — 12 Nov 2007
Any movie that has Peter Frampton and the Beegees in a full on catfight with Aerosmith is a-okay by me. :) (And yes, I said 'catfight'. It's a common misconception that a catfight only applies to women. You see, there is a simple mathematical equation that is employed to determine where a fight falls on the Catfight-to-Rumble spectrum. It is (F= c+t+g) where 'c' equals the circumfrence of the volume of one's hair, 't' equals the friction caused by the tightness of one's pants, and 'g' equals the amount of glitter involved in making one's jacket.).
Upon reflection, I have no idea what the hell happened in this movie. But I can tell you for sure that there wasn't a single person working on this movie that wasn't stoned immaculate 3/4ths of the time.
They kind of butchered most of the Beatles songs, but Stephen Tyler singing Come Together always makes me smile.
