The only motivation Steve Martin had here was a $6 million paycheck that helps waste the talents of Dan Akroyd and God bless him Phil Hartman. Dead on the inside comedy is based on a practically obscure 50's sitcom about a shady military sergeant who double deals and moonlights in bad behavior.
