Sure, why not. I mean Steve Martin is funny all the time, but I honestly would have rather seen Michael Keaton in the title role as was originally intended. Nonethelss, it's entertaining, maybe a bit predictable, superceded by the rest of Steve Martin's work, as well darker material of similar nature (Buffalo Soldiers).
It's wildly absurd, and I love absurdity.
