Well sometimes a movie just is what it is. And that's more than enough. Great story, nice camerawork, a tight edit and first class acting. 'Sexy Beast' is all of that, a small justifiable world on its own, and the viewer is invited to dwell there for a short stretch. Glazer doesn't depend on any kind of references whatsoever. And that is the strength of 'Sexy Beast'.
Forget all, enter and enjoy.
