Review of Sexy Beast (2001) by Sasha T — 27 Oct 2009
A stylish, cool, dark, and violent crime film. Ben Kingsley gives one of the best performances of his career, with his nasty and terrifying demeanor and a witty arsenal of put downs he steals the show and gains a Best Supporting Oscar nod.
The film itself is also pretty twisted. The heist itself was not the main plot, it was about Gal and his state of happiness. I was really surprised at the dark humour as well, the movie is really funny. This movie holds its own and is up there with other British crime classics.
