Review of Sexy Beast (2001) by Jake R — 14 Feb 2010
This was the first movie that I recall seeing Ray Winstone in. I absolutly fell in love with him from this perfromance.
It was also in this film that I realized thet Ben Kingsley was a bad ass!
It is not the typical mob/heist movie. Winstone plays Gal. A lifelong London criminal who has retired to Spain to live out his life in quiet bliss with his wife.
However, Don Logan, Kingsley, comes to bring him back for another job. Gal vehemently declines, and this is the story. The battle of wills of these two men.
It is a great story, well acted. Well worth a look.
