Gritty well made BRITISH film. Ben Kingsley is a revelation. Well acted with a good plot. Beautifully filmed too. It is a film that Hollywood used to make (think Serpico, Taxi Driver etc) but have abandoned in recent times.
Has humour but violence too, but not stylised for the sake of it. Has a lot of foul language especially from Kingsley, but don't let put you off. Well worth a viewing. One of the films that Britain is good at making.
And one of the greats. I would recommend.
