Review of Sexy Beast (2001) by James K — 18 Jul 2011
Kingsley is a force to behold here, and the pervasive malevolence and air of foreboding prevalent is nicely accentuated by rare moments of dark comedy. The best British gangster film since Get Carter isn't much of a gangster film at all, more a slightly surreal dream with British gangsters conducting the movements.
