Review of sex, lies, and videotape (1989) by Rob H — 31 Mar 2008
Not without its flaws, but still a strong debut film from Soderbergh. Andie MacDowell has a career high, at least dramatically, and anchors the film emotionally. Spader's performance is subtle and moving.
It's a fascinating, intimate character study and well worth revisiting almost twenty years later.
