Review of sex, lies, and videotape (1989) by Jennifer E — 06 Oct 2007
Soderbergh's debut is still the most influential independent film of all time. Playing against convention, and with an array of subtle performances, film manages to create an atmosphere of erotica, without actually showing any flesh and it's underlying message is at once though provoking and hopeful.
Great soundtrack from Cliff Martinez gives the film a unique mood.
