Review of Sex Ed (2014) by Jackie_G123 — 14 Nov 2014
Sex Ed is definitely a comedy film I'm glad I didn't miss out on. It managed to talk about the importance of sex ed classes in schools without diverging from the plot; the flag director Isaac Feder chooses to take up works seamlessly with the raunchy comedy genre, and makes it possible to look at the film from multiple perspectives.
The cast did a great job of making the story believable and, most importantly, hilarious. Haley Joel Osment couldn't have chosen a better film for his return to film. After The Sixth Sense, he's proved that he can shine in a comedy.
Retta, and Glen Powell's characters were also funny and memorable. Though their characters are modeled after popular tropes in comedy and coming-of-age films, they still manage to make their characters stand out both in the film and compared to other comedies.
Overall, this is a movie I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who has yet to see it.
