Review of Sex and the City 2 (2010) by Bronwen C — 02 Apr 2011

I was a huge fan of the tv show and liked the first movie, but didn't go to see the sequel in the theater because the reviews were so bad. I finally watched it on cable today. Way too few scenes had any heart and everything else could have been written by a bunch of monkeys, or your average network sitcom writer, locked in a room with typewriters.

When it wasn't making a stereotypical gay joke or another one of Samantha's sexual quips (few of which were funny), it was just downright offensive towards Muslim culture. "I am woman, hear me roar" karaoke, really? I really hope this was the end.

I love these characters and this was a sad, sad note to leave them on.
