Review of Sex and the City 2 (2010) by Zoran S — 08 Apr 2011
First let me say that I love this show (and own the entire series & first movie) and the last film, however, this movie made me wish out loud that this was the final sequel. The beginning was awesome.
I absolutely LOVED the wedding scene. It was fun and just plain wonderful. After that, my excitement for this movie went downhill quickly. Carrie Bradshaw is in one of her spoiled, self-absorbed moods.
Of course, she gets her way in the end. Did she really learn a lesson? Miranda barely has a storyline and Charlotte's was the most identifiable for most women and it seems quickly shown and quickly resolved.
Samantha, whom I love, was obnoxious. I found myself a little offended that they would have her character in a country where she is old enough and mature enough to respect their cultures and she blatantly defies it.
That may have been meant for comedic effect but it wasn't. It was really in bad taste. They should have kept the girls in the City. That would have saved this film.
