Review of Sex and the City 2 (2010) by Abby S — 05 Dec 2010
I was so disappointed with this sequel. At times the acting was good, but at other times it was ridiculous. It would go from a serious scene to a stupid one; and so on. I thought that the wedding scene with the two men was very stereotyped and insulting.
I was very surprised that Sarah Jessica Parker would allow such a scene in the movie because she is such a sensitive person to all walks of life. The scene in the bar in Abu Dabi where the women sang "I Am Women" was not necessary at all.
Plus, the scene at the end where the women from Abu Dabi beckon the women from the streets into their "lair" so-to-speak; was so implausible--it just didn't need to be there. There were some very funny lines, but all-in-all I would say it was a medeocre film.
